 It is with heartfelt sadness that we inform you Edmund M. Burke, Founder of Becker, Burke Associates, passed away on September 21, 2008.Ed was highly respected by those of us at Becker, Burke Associates, as well as by our clients, other investment professionals, and all those he met. He was regarded as a visionary leader by anyone who worked with him. In 1965, he helped develop the A.G. Becker Funds Evaluation Service, the genesis of the investment consulting industry. Becker, Burke Associates was founded by Ed in 1985, and his contributions to our firm during his twenty-three years of dedicated and selfless service were many and varied. Ed will be greatly missed by all of us at Becker, Burke Associates, as well as his friends around the nation. |
